An editable fax is, essentially, a file transfer between computers, with the addition of a cover page optionally. Once received, the "editable fax" can be edited in the application that created it--or another application capable of reading that file type. For example, if you send a document created in Microsoft Word for Windows, which is a .DOC file, the recipient can open it in Word, WordPad, AmiPro, or WordPerfect, using import filters if necessary. |
